Learn all about and see up close the marine life of Port Phillip Bay in a relaxed coastal setting with Bayplay Adventure Tours. Fun and family friendly this is the perfect group tour, even for non-swimmers.
Tours begin with your friendly and highly experienced guide demonstrating the basics of snorkelling, covering equipment usage and terminology, in-water communication, snorkel and free diving skills as well as information on the marine life you can expect to encounter.
Then it is a short walk and plunge off the Portsea pier where you’ll encounter an array of mesmerising marine life including; soft corals, sponge life, hermit crabs, puffer fish, star gazers as well as weedy sea dragons and much more.

Point Nepean’s rich history has played an important role in shaping the early settlement, quarantine and defence of Victoria. The park is 560 hectares located at the tip of the Mornington Peninsula. Scenery includes outstanding coastal and panoramic views of Bass Strait, the Rip and Port Phillip Bay.
This Bayplay Adventure Tour begins from inside the park where you meet your guides. From this point you ride past the historical precinct around the Quarantine Station and Gunners Cottage, stopping off at various sites in the park including the historic Cattle Jetty, Pearce Barracks and Eagles Nest.
You then cycle along Defence Road to Fort Nepean. Here you have time to explore the tunnels, forts and gun emplacements from which the first allied shots of both World War l and World War ll were fired. After some refreshments you return to the bikes and tour home via Cheviot Hill where former Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt disappeared without a trace in 1967.
