This small group Melbourne shopping tour explores back-street warehouses, pop-up sales and discount shopping streets such as Swan Street, Bridge Road and Smith Street.

Discover Melbourne’s inner city suburbs including Richmond, Collingwood and Fitzroy as you shop till you drop in fashion discount outlets, accessory, bag and shoe shops and hard-to-find warehouse sales. Discover outlets that you may not find on your own, away from the shopping centres.

Itineraries are flexible depending on the shopping requests of guests. All tours include a shopping focused city tour, lunch and a glass of sparkling wine or soft drink.

The tour starts in the heart of Melbourne at Federation Square.  Explore the Koorie Heritage Centre with authentic South East Australian Aboriginal designed and/or crafted products. Visit a gallery featuring glass, sculpture and jewellery all handmade by established and emerging Australian artists.

A short walk takes us to Lightning Ridge Opal Mines for an opal lesson from their highly experienced staff including cutting, polishing and types of opals.  Lightning Ridge carry a great selection of unset opals for all budgets as well as a range of wonderful opal gifts and expertly crafted jewellery.

Together you will discover some of the venues most cherished by Melbourne music fans and listen to some of their music along the way. Basement bars boasting famous clientele, pubs and clubs that have seen it all and stadiums big enough for the brightest stars. They won’t just drive you past these venues, you will visit a few and even enjoy a drink or two.

This tour also includes an optional finishing point taking in the Australian Music Vault – a free, permanent exhibition of Australian music which includes interactive and digital experiences plus a fantastic collection of iconic artefacts.

Your day will start in the homestead at Woodlands Historic Park with a generous Devonshire Tea with time to explore the homestead / museum before your tour of Living Legends which is home to some favourite retired champion race horses such as Fields of Omagh, Might and Power, Silent Witness, Better Loosen Up, Rogan Josh, Brew, Paris Lane, Efficient, Who Shot The Barman (NZ), Redkirk Warrior (GB) and Peniaphobia (IRE). Enjoy the opportunity to meet, pat and feed the horses.

Then head to the Macedon Ranges to enjoy a wood-fired pizza lunch and wine tastings at a local winery.

The last stop of the day is Holgate’s Brewery, a country pub with a range of classic beer styles, full in flavour and rich in character. See a microbrewery in action and taste the range of beers on offer. Afterwards you will have time to meander down the main street of beautiful Woodend or sit by the fire / in the beer garden and enjoy another brew.

Enjoy the opportunity to meet, pat and feed the horses and talk to the stable hands that care for them.

Living Legends is part of Woodlands Park and is modelled closely on the Home of Rest for Horses in the United Kingdom. Like the Home of Rest, they aim to support equine research, education and training to benefit horses of all ages and breeds. Special emphasis, however, is given to the care of older horses.

After your meet and greet session with the horses, relax in the beautiful, historic homestead of Woodlands Historic Park with a light lunch and some time to explore the on-site museum before travelling back to your cruise ship or hotel.
