National Parks and Reserves

Briens Gorge is a picturesque picnic area nestled in a charming valley, featuring a nearby waterfall that shares its name.

Visitors can reach the base of the falls by following a stony track, which is perhaps the shortest walking trail in the Warby Ovens National Park.

It’s worth noting that the waterfall may be dry most of the time, and only becomes visible during periods of heavy rain. The water cascades down rocks for approximately 25-30 meters before disappearing at the base of the falls. It then resurfaces in nearby springs.

To get to Briens Gorge, take Wangandary Road and turn into Jubilee Road, then make a left turn into Grandview Road. Follow the track past the Golf Course until you reach the parking area, where you’ll find picnic tables and a fireplace.
