Cape Discoveries

Full Day

Cape Discoveries private guided tours provide a personal nature-based scenic tour, exploring six bays and four capes and the only mainland breeding colony of Australasian Gannets.

In these current times, private tours stand alone, and a local guide means local knowledge, personal interaction and insights you won’t get on your own.

The tour takes you through a variety of coastal land and seascapes, from the rugged windswept capes and protected bays of turquoise waters to the white sand beaches with an abundance of wildlife on the way.

The geological features through the area are unique to the Australian coastline with the highest cliff face on the Victorian coast at Cape Bridgewater. The coast is made up of extinct volcanos, part of the Newer Volcanics Province of Australia and capped by ancient dune systems producing limestone formations now eroded by winds off the mighty Southern Ocean.

Tour options range from two hours to full day and will be tailored to your interests, including geological, oceanographic, photographic wildlife and seascape and koalas in their natural environment.

Vinnie your guide lives and breathes this coastline and has been in the industry for 24 years. He is Eco Guide accredited and is passionate about his home and the ocean that surrounds it.

Cape Discoveries tours are private and personal, taking a maximum of four guests.
