The most scenic views of the Port Phillip Bay from Port Melbourne through St Kilda, Elwood, Brighton to Black Rock and return.

You ride along the famous Bay Trail from Port Melbourne towards St Kilda, the multicultural precinct along the Bay bursting with colour, great food and vibes.

St Kilda Pier houses the local Fairy Penguin colony and of course there is the face of St Kilda, Mr Moon and his big smile – the historic amusement park Luna Park.

You then continue on passing through Elwood along the beach bike paths to Brighton where you have an opportunity to see the iconic Bathing Boxes on Brighton Beach.

From there you reach your turn around destination at Black Rock where you get to see the magnificent Red Bluff cliffs and the historic shipwreck HMVS Cerberus in the shallow waters off Black Rock beach.

Length – approximately three and a half hours. Trail – easy flat surface with some inclines towards the end.

Following Port Phillip Bay west to experience eye-catching views of Melbourne’s City skyline.

Starting in Port Melbourne, ride through the Westgate Wetlands and depending on the time of day and catch the Punt across to Williamstown, a place abundant with maritime history, restaurants and cafes.

From there we travel along the coastal trail, know for its wetlands, native plants and bird life, towards Altona our turnaround point.

On the way back you will have some of the best views of Melbourne city so make sure you bring your camera.

Trail approximately three and a half hours, 23 kilometres one way. Trail is easy predominantly flat.

Rides include photo and refreshment stops along the way.

Riding through the Docklands and trailing off into nature along serene grass and wetlands.

From Port Melbourne we head off towards the Docklands precinct passing the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel on the way to Maribyrnong River.

Once over Shepherd Bridge, trail off along the river winding your way past the Heavenly Queen Temple with it is 16 metres Mazu statue, Newells Paddock Wetlands and Flemington Race Course – home of the world renown Melbourne Cup.

On the way back you will have the opportunity to see great views of the city and an option to ride via Kensington, a trendy little pocket of Melbourne, for those confident riding bike paths on roads.

Approximately three and a half hours, 30 kilometres. Trail: easy predominantly flat with some inclines.

Feel the buzz of the city as you ride through Southbank capturing iconic landmarks as you head out to the more tranquil settings of the scenic the Yarra River.

Heading east, travel through the Casino and Southbank precincts with a closer glimpse of the city. Further along, pass Rod Laver Arena, home of the Australian Open Tennis and meander along the Yarra River past Herring Island where we start to leave the urban settings on the way towards Abbotsford Convent and Fairfield Boathouse.

On the way back enjoy the views of the city as you head towards Southbank and back to Port Melbourne.

Approximately three and a half hours, 21 kilometress one way. Trail: easy-moderate and predominantly flat with some hills.

Rides include photo and refreshment stops along the way.
