Inglewood’s Eucalyptus Distillery offers a unique attraction set at the historic Jones Eucalyptus Distillery.
Discover and learn about eucalyptus oil, its history and uses, in an interactive experience that highlights the importance of the eucalyptus industry to the district.
The museum highlights Eucalyptus Polybractea, or the Blue Eucy, and links the history and archaeology of how eucalyptus was and is now distilled to the area. You can even watch the oil being made in a real working distillery demonstration.
Located on the northern side of Inglewood, the museum is 45 kilometres west of Bendigo and two hours from the centre of Melbourne. It is open Thursday – Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm. There is a Café with tea, coffee, Devonshire tea and cakes, free Wi-Fi, toilets and car park on site. Plus a gift shop that sells a huge range of natural eucalyptus based products.
The museum has an increasing collection of eucalyptus history, art works and working model distillery.
This is an ideal day trip, located in the historic gold township of Inglewood, which now features an increasing range of antiques and collectables.
Come and visit, the staff at Eucalyptus Distillery Museum would love to show you around.
