For gold panning, a miner’s right is needed and can be purchased at the Information centre in the Wangaratta or Beechworth Centre.

You can still find Smoky Quartz, Agates, Amethists, Topaz, Citrine, Rock Crystal, Motion, Jasper, Corundum, Lydionite, Quartzites, Saphires, Zircon, Rubies, Tourmaline, Garnets, Diamonds, Alluvial Gold and Petrified Wood.
