Kerrie Warren Art – Studio Gallery

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Kerrie Warren Art, Gallery & Studios is located in Crossover, West Gippsland, an hour and a half east of Melbourne.

The district and its surrounds are recognised for their natural beauty, which combines lush pastureland, rolling hills and forested slopes and gullies. Here Kerrie Warren’s practice operates out of a painting studio, a pottery studio, and a purpose-built gallery which is open by appointment.

Kerrie Warren (born 1968) is an Australian artist who employs the action painting techniques of abstract expressionism in the creation of large scale works that explore humanity’s relationship with nature.

By harnessing intuitive forces through gestural abstraction, Warren’s landscape painting engages the artist’s whole being. From daylight to starlight and from the first snowfall to the appearance of wildflowers in the fields, these works are a living expression of what it means to live with the land.

In the creation of wheel thrown ceramics, stand-alone sculptures and installations combining the handmade and the readymade, Warren investigates our shared sense of life’s delicate balance, its vulnerable fragility and sublime impermanence.
