The Lockington & District Living Heritage Complex Inc, which was open in 1997, aims to conserve, promote and share the heritage of Lockington & District from pre-white settlement to the present day for the purposes of education, enjoyment, providing material evidence of man and his environment linking history with tourism for the benefit of the community.

Visitors will see a wide range of historical artefacts that were used in the district. Exhibits include: General displays, Shearing Shed, Blacksmith shop, Dairy Shed, Class-room of old, PMG hut, Masonic Lodge, Restored Tram, Australia’s first Pop-top caravan, they believe, built in 1939, locally built tractor, Steam truck, numerous tractors and more.

A feature is the sculpture of the National and International Shearing champion, Kevin Sarre. The library contains books of local interest and families.

The complex is a community not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers. Groups of all sizes (from 10 people to over 100) buses and coaches are very welcome. Bookings are required for morning and afternoon teas, and lunches.
A Vintage machinery rally is held annually over the nearest week-end to ANZAC Day. This attracts local exhibitors and from other Australian states.
