High in the skies on 28 September 1969, above the town of Murchison, the legendary Murchison Meteorite exploded. The meteorite was said to be around 4.5 billion years old.

Visit Meteorite Park to read the informative newspaper clippings about the Murchison Meteorite. There is a sheltered area and picnic table, and the Park is located a short walking distance from nearby shops and cafes, playground and public toilets.
