Join a small group tour with Oceania to make the most of your stay as you zoom in and around the city, visiting such wonders as Federation Square, the MCG and our world-famous sports precinct, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Albert Park Lake , St Kilda Beach and Brighton Beach Boxes. You can even take a stroll in the gardens and visit St Patrick’s Cathedral when permitted.

Visit world famous Albert Park, home of the Formula One, Australian Grand Prix as well as the inner-city sports precinct housing the MCG and Melbourne Park where the Australian Tennis Open takes place. Your unforgettable day will commence with a visit to Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park where you are guaranteed plenty of close encounters with an array of Australian native animals.

You will then head to Phillip Island where, time/season permitting, we will take you to Woolamai Surf Beach to catch a glimpse of the awesome waves and die-hard surfers. You’ll then travel over to the dramatic west coast of the island.

At the Nobbies, you will stroll along the boardwalk to experience the waves crashing along this dramatic coastline and perhaps spot a few seals and some penguin nests.

A trip to Phillip Island is not complete without its black tie gala event: the Penguin Parade. You will head to the Visitor Centre to shop, have a coffee and meander along the boardwalk to the viewing platform where you will see the little penguins come ashore, decked out in their tuxedos as they hurry off to find their burrows.

The amazing Yarra Valley is full of magnificent places to visit and wines to taste. With a private tour you can spend the time doing the things you really want to do. At just one hour’s drive from the city, the Yarra Valley is the place to experience food, wine, wildlife encounters and history.

Oceania Tours’ tour to the Yarra Valley will take you to the top wineries to taste some of the finest wines in Australia and to enjoy a delicious two course lunch.

On this special tour, they also include a visit to Healesville Sanctuary to encounter Australian wildlife at close hand. And for young visitors (and the young at heart), they highly recommend a ride on the historic Puffing Billy railway through the Dandenong Ranges.

However, although all of these items can be packaged into a day tour, it should be noted that a ride on Puffing Billy will take three hours and so careful planning will be necessary if you wish to include this in your itinerary. But above all, this is your tour and you decide how you want to spend the time and which items to be included.

Your special day out will commence at your hotel where you will be picked up by your own expert guide you will take you south-east from Melbourne to reach Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park where you will meet endangered species, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas plus an array of colourful birds and reptiles.

Your journey then leads onto Phillip Island.

Upon arrival on the island, depending on the time of year and your particular interests, we will visit Woolamai beach.

From here, you will go to the western corner of the island to enjoy magnificent views of Bass Strait and the Nobbies, which is home to the largest colony of fur seals in Australia.

During the daylight savings months, you will travel to the town of Cowes to enjoy a great two course dinner before the penguin parade. In the winter months, you will have dinner in Cowes after the penguin parade.

Finally, a trip to Phillip Island is not complete without its black tie gala event: the Penguin Parade. On this private tour, you will be treated to viewing the penguins at the special Penguins Plus viewing platform close to the little penguins’ favourite spot to exit the water.
