Geelong, there is so much to see and do.
Full Day Tour for one to four people.
Come and explore The Great Ocean Road and the Forestry and Fauna of the Otway National Park. The full-day tour takes us down the Great Ocean Road through Lorne and on to Apollo Bay. From Torquay to Apollo Bay is a two-hour drive along the cliffs and overlooking The Great Southern Ocean. We will have a short stop in Lorne and a longer stop in Apollo Bay for lunch.
After having a chance to eat and check out Apollo Bay the tour will then head inland for a half-hour drive for the Maits Rest Rainforest Walk. Wooden boardwalk with self-guided tours along a (roughly 30-minute) loop through rainforest habitat of giant Fern trees.
The trip wouldn’t be complete without seeing some of our most treasured animals. Koalas, Wombats, Wallabies, and so many other native birds and animals. Fauna Australia is further along the road. An hour here will fly by.
Mid-afternoon will see us start to head back to Geelong and dropping you off at around 5:00pm having had an amazing day with more memories and ‘selfies’ than you were thought possible.
The Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre is a truly delightful, inspiring, and hands-on learning adventure. Apart from checking out some of Australia’s favourite animals, the centre itself is an opportunity to look at the amazing array of artwork and artefacts that are on display. Many are for sale. You can even have a bite to eat and try some genuine Aussie ‘tucker’.
From there, there is a 20-minute drive to The Jirrahlinga Wildlife Sanctuary. Jirrahlinga means ‘Seek-a-home for a Kangaroo’. Originally starting life as a place where injured animals found refuge, it has now grown to become one of the most important centres for getting close to and learning about all Australian wildlife. Make sure you have your cameras ready because you will want them handy. Native animals, reptiles, birds of every description. In fact, when you travel with Geelong Tours, they guarantee that you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Australia’s most loved animals.
You have around two hours here before heading back to Geelong. Arriving back at the Museum at 3:00pm.
The Iconic, Great Ocean Road, Taking you to places and showing you things that you may get to see and do, just once in your life.
Think about that. How can we possibly not enjoy doing that? It’s exciting to us well.
