Hike through Yarra Bend Park; one of Melbourne’s best kept secrets.

Come on a guided hike through some beautiful native bushland bordering the Yarra River, only five kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD.

Wonderful city views, historic boathouses, some spectacular geology, remnant River Red Gums, loads of native birds (including some seriously cute parrots) and of course the resident Grey-headed Flying Fox colony are all in store for you as you follow the river through the park.

A vegetarian lunch, snacks and public transport are included.

Join for a guided hike through Melbourne’s famous parks and gardens, discover their history and contemporary uses and learn about the many native animals that continue to live in the heart of this city.

The hike will take you through seven inner-city parks and past several of Melbourne’s icons, like the Exhibition Building, the MCG, the Yarra River, Botanic Gardens and Shrine of Remembrance.​

The hike includes snacks, tea or coffee and a professional guide with commentary.

Join Urban Hiking for a guided hike from Melbourne’s CBD, through South Melbourne to St Kilda Beach. This hike will give you a great workout while you take in some fantastic views of the city and learn about some of Melbourne’s history.

You will hike through the Kings Domain and the beautiful Albert Park, before hitting the beach and checking out the historic St Kilda Pier. Returning to the city on one of Melbourne’s iconic trams, or you can stay on and continue to explore St Kilda, with its great bars, restaurants and Little Penguins returning home at dusk.
