For this Great Ocean Road Photography Tour we are travelling in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and doing a circuit trip along the Great Ocean Road and around the extraordinary coast of Port Campbell, 12 Apostles, Gibson Steps, Loch Ard Gorge, The Razorback, The Island Archway, Hopetoun Falls, the Californian Redwood forest and more. If you’ve ever thought about learning how to shoot amazing star trails and the Milky Way, you won’t want to miss this opportunity. Join pro photographers George Triantafillou and Karolin Schild as they offer an incredible learning experience under the night skies in one of their favourite locations – Cape Schanck.

This five hour Star Trail and Milky Way astrophotography workshop will take place on a moonless night in one of the darkest locations in Victoria, so it will be possible to see and photograph Star Trails and the Milky Way (as long as the sky remains clear enough).

You will start by having a look at some of the optimal camera settings for coastal and long exposure photography, finishing with the chance to shoot the sunset.

Capturing images like this requires excellent technique and fundamental knowledge. By joining this long exposure photography workshop you’ll be guided in the techniques needed as well as learning how to capture some amazing coastal photographs.

The aim of this workshop is to understand when it is practical to use certain filter types in certain circumstances. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to get several minutes of exposure.

Optional: You can choose one of the images captured that day to post-process it in Lightroom and Photoshop.
