Services

Celebrating World Environment Day, come join them for a walk to learn and appreciate the natural environment, exploring the biodiversity, Indigenous plants and native wildlife. The walk is free and for 1.5-2 hours and is suitable for family groups.

How to get to Werribee River Park:
On bike or on foot, on the Werribee River Trail. By car, drive down Newmarket Road, off the Princes Highway, then turn right onto Farm Road and into the Werribee River Park. Take the gravel road that ends in a car park. From there, walk down the ramp, and follow the granitic sand path toward the river. Turn left and follow that path to our planting site. Temporary way finding signs will be in place too.

Generations in Gaia is a monthly walk for young to old, exploring Wyndham’s open spaces and nature trails. Visiting a new site each month, the walks are tailored to little legs, delicate bodies and curious minds.

The inaugural walk will take place on Boonwurrung Country, at The Werribee Park Historic Farm. Entering a canopy of river red gums, we will follow the winding Werribee River, past the historic Bluestone Ford to a serene picnic spot, where we will share morning tea.

Meet at the Homestead and Stables, Werribee Park Farm, Gate 5, K Road, Werribee South. Please contact Jess if you require car-pooling.

This event is part of Werribee River Association’s Sustainability Streets program, building resilient communities, connected to country.

Proudly supported by Wyndham City Council.
