Exhibition and Shows

4 Oct 2019 to 25 Oct 2019

Last year the Maritime Art Prize received an unprecedented number of high quality entries and were thrilled by the resulting exhibition of finalist works.

The theme – “The Relationship of Humanity and the Sea” attracted a diverse response of work ranging from traditional to contemporary mixed media. The winning works resonate with an outstanding level of creativity in response to the Brief. They are evocative, and show a great deal of ideation and originality.

Last year’s winners include: 2018 ANL Maritime Art Prize Winner: Joni Dennis, for ‘Aye Aye Captain’, Nevile & Co Runner Up Award: Robert J Williams, ‘Rust in Peace’, ASP Shipping, Best Traditional work: David Rowe, ‘The Naval Mechanic’ and DP World Emerging Artist: Ben Tankard, ‘Unpopular Penguin 286.’
