Art in the time of COVID-19 exhibition

Nillumbik is highly regarded as a centre for creative pursuits and home to a vibrant arts community.

But this community, like many others, has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Arts and cultural venues were forced to close their doors almost overnight, and the effects have been significant.

In response to these challenging circumstances, Nillumbik Shire Council invited artists both locally and nationally, to create artworks as part of its Art in the Time of COVID-19 program.

The result is this wonderful and diverse exhibition show-casing artworks that reflect the pandemic and the artists’ personal experiences of it.

Held at Montsalvat from Feb 5 – April 5, 2021.
