Gain a better understanding of botanical art under the guidance of an experienced artist. Learn skills and techniques to create varied textures with pen and pencil, then transfer drawings onto watercolour paper while learning how to apply colour and different painting techniques. Understand plant anatomy and structures of flowers and leaves. Suitable for beginners and experienced artists. Starter kit supplied.
What you will learn: how to draw your subjects accurately; observational drawing skills; transferring your image onto watercolour paper; basic watercolour techniques – wet, dry and blending; understanding light, shading, form and shadows.
