Botany Boot Camp

Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

8 Sep 2019 to 10 Nov 2019

Struggle to distinguish your corymbia from your eucalyptus? You might be suffering from plant blindness. First coined more than 20 years ago to describe the inability to see or notice the plants in one’s own environment, the affliction is thought to be caused by spending much of life indoors. If you have it, don’t worry – you are not alone. Give your bout of plant blindness the boot and treat yourself to time out in nature with this new active tour around Melbourne Gardens. Get your sweat on as you power between iconic and unusual shrubs and trees, with plant scientist Dr Meg Hirst from the Victorian Conservation Seedbank and landscape architect Georgia Warren at the helm to give you insight into the wonderful world of botany.
