Three French Hens will be causing mischief late at night a sight not to missed. Samantha Thompson’s interpretation of Day Three can be seen in at Shop 8b, Mining Exchange Lydiard Street Nth.
Award winning artist, Samantha is a professional multidisciplinary artist and arts worker situated in regional Victoria. Printmaking and mixed media works that focus on feminism, domestic arts and death are common themes in her work. Her next exhibition will be held in Napier New Zealand in 2020.
The 12 days of Christmas Windows will surprise and delight. The collection of temporary artworks is inspired by the Twelve Days of Christmas and will be a nod to local traditions, with an emphasis on the regional city, Ballarat’s heritage, First Nations peoples and our shared future. The City of Ballarat has commissioned six local artists to create the 12 Christmas Windows to fill our shops and streetscape with Christmas joy and creativity.
Follow the trail of 12 Christmas windows, starting with the Partridge in a Pear Tree at Central Square and continue down through the streets to 12 Drummers Drumming in the Bridge Mall.
