Government House Open Day

Government House Victoria invites all Victorians to Reflect, Respect and Celebrate at Open Day on 26 January.

Explore the State Apartments, historic grounds, and a diverse program of free performances and activities.

Throughout the day, an array of Victorian talent and acts will provide family-friendly entertainment on the beautiful Western Lawn.

There will be a range of activities and displays, including: a concert of live music, dance and acrobatics on the Western Lawn, free children’s activities, self-guided tours of the State Apartments and grounds, roving entertainers, food and drink vendors, sports and community activities.

Bring along your own picnic to enjoy in the historic gardens or sample the wide range of food available for purchase on site.

A flyover and acrobatic display by the Royal Australia Air Force’s Roulettes will be visible from the open day.

Entry is free. Gates open at 10:30am with last entry to the House at 4.00 pm. Gates will close at 4:30pm. Visitors are subject to security screening on arrival, including bag checks and wanding.
