This three-hour immersion is designed to rejuvenate your mind, relax your body and expand your understanding of the ecological and geological story of this place and its connection to our wellbeing.
The aim of the Guided Rainforest and Mindfulness Tour is for you to leave feeling rejuvenated and enlivened. The three-hour tour will be time to slow down, connect to your senses and deepen your relationship with the forest ecology. The walk is a moderate grade (mostly flat with some short climbs and steps) and three kilometres in total. Your facilitator will guide you through mindfulness-based practices, share stories of the landscape and elucidate relationships between forests and human wellbeing.
Meet at Badger Weir Picnic Area, Yarra Ranges National Park, where we will begin and end the walk. Food will not be provided and we recommend bringing a picnic with you to enjoy afterwards or try out a nearby cafe/restaurant.
The conditions are highly variable in the places that is visited. Even in warmer months, the temperatures can be significantly cooler than Melbourne. Come with layers so you are prepared for any conditions.
Key items to bring are: Sturdy shoes, warm clothes, water bottle, waterproof jacket, backpack, hat and medical requirements.
Kids under 12 free – Limited to two kids per adult. Please contact the host with details after purchasing tickets for adults.
