27 May 2018
The Huon Hill Trail Run in Wodonga, Victoria on Sunday 27 May 2018 is a steep off road challenge with awesome views, and is the first of four races in the 2018 edition of the Riverina Endurance Trail Running Series.
The long course has over 13 kilometres of trails and 590 metres of ascent and descent, so runners will warm up quickly and definitely challenge themselves. Throughout the race, glimpses of snow peaked alpine ranges and city skylines of both Albury and Wodonga make it all worthwhile. A forgiving 3 kilometre flat trail along the Kiewa River provides sanctuary and the chance for runners to feel some pace in their legs. The trek across the north face of the hill and back up to the summit really sweetens the taste of satisfaction.
The short course is a fast and furious 4 kilometre trail that takes in the slopes of Huon Hill and passes through scenic stringy bark forests with magnificent views of the surrounding ranges.
