Kahlil Gibran: The Garden of the Prophet

Exhibition and Shows

28 Nov 2018 to 17 Mar 2019

Kahlil Gibran: The Garden of the Prophet celebrates the life and work of literary genius Kahlil Gibran. His literary works have inspired some of the most influential figures of our time, from Indira Gandhi, to Elvis Presley, John Lennon and David Bowie.

Gibran’s poignant artistic representations of themes from The Prophet, which has never been out of print and is published in over 100 languages and dialects, are featured in the exhibition alongside a galley proof and plate that were created pre publishing. Reflect in Gibran’s world, gain insight into his key relationships and rediscover the power and relevance of his work today.

Kahlil Gibran: The Garden of the Prophet, opens November 28 at Immigration Museum. It is proudly presented by the Bank of Sydney, supported by the Gibran National Committee and has received grant funding from the Council for Australian-Arab Relations of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
