Kakadu and the Kimberley
Events Warburton, Yarra Ranges, Victoria
31 Jan 2019 to 20 Feb 2019
This Exhibition showcases the work of local artist Steve Freestone, with his vibrant renditions of the astounding scenery of The Kimberleys and Kakadu.
Steve’s work is primarily about process. It is about drawing, observation, colour, brush strokes, the use of form and observation. With observation, he recalls the emotional moment of viewing the landscape and try to emulate that into his painting. It is also about colour. The use of complementary colours to enhance areas and using these juxtapositions to enhance the value of the composition.
