But wouldn’t you like to sink your teeth into a succulent piece of slow roasted, smoked lamb that grew up happily and sustainably, perhaps having only ever travelled within 50 kilometres in its life? Would you like to wash it down with a glass of high quality red made with care and sustainable practices?

Do it all with Anton Therkildsen of Valhalla Wines and Mark The Rutherglen Meat Co. and meet the makers with a fierce, shared bond over sustainability in an event that will leave your taste-buds in bliss and mind full.

The low down:
– Enjoy a glass of sparkling shiraz while the farmer and the butcher tell you all about local Rutherglen meat, with a butchery and meat smoking demonstration.
– Enjoy a platter of Rutherglen charcuterie matched to a Valhalla red. Anton will talk you through the wines before a feast of slow roasted smoked lamb. The butcher and the winemaker will also join you at the table for a good yarn.
