Meet the Artist – Emily Van Der Molen

The City of Ballarat has commissioned six local artists to create the 12 Days of Christmas Windows to fill shopfronts and streets with Christmas joy and creativity.

Come and meet artist Emily Van Der Molen and hear the inspiration behind her windows: Five Golden Rings and Six Geese a Laying.

Emily Van Der Molen is a multi faceted local artist who sees the world through a kaleidoscopic filter. She works in a range of mediums that aim to tear down the boundaries between art and craft, transforming a lifetime of collected imagery into a celebration of quirk and colour.

Follow the trail of the 12 Days of Christmas Windows, starting with the Partridge in a Pear Tree at Central Square down through the streets to 12 Drummers Drumming in the Bridge Mall.
