We’ve all felt lonely at some stage, whether in a fleeting or ongoing capacity—it’s part of the human experience. Even so, why do many of us feel more isolated than ever, despite our unprecedented technological connectedness? And why are these feelings still so heavily stigmatised?
Join us in addressing these and other questions as a panel of experts and social-change pioneers discuss loneliness and explore what we can do to combat its measurable increase in our communities. Following this conversation, panellists will initiate a collaborative brainstorming exercise, encouraging all in attendance to offer thoughts on how we can come together to remedy our time’s curiously fragmented social landscape.
In cities like Melbourne, many of us undergo similar experiences of socio-technological overlap, rendering discussions of this kind overwhelmingly communal. Come and give your two cents.
