4 Sep 2021 to 16 Jul 2022 Quarterly Event
Built in 1866, the Cellar Door is the heart of Best’s Wines’ operation. Situated in the picturesque Grampians in the undulating central Victorian countryside between Stawell and Ararat, Best’s Wines lies in the historically rich wine-growing region of Great Western.
The old red gum slab tasting room is housed in the original stables and showcases old winery equipment, maps of the area, as well as Henry Best’s original journal dating from 1866. Visitors can take a tour of the 1860s cellars, which were hand-dug by miners, and the original Nursery Block plantings, both of which represent a significant piece of Australian wine history.
Best’s Wines are bringing back their Museum Wine Night with a slightly new format where you’ll be able to sample three wines before deciding on a favourite and settling in with a glass. You will be able to select your own ‘Pick a Platter’ cheese plate and live music to set the ambience.
Entry Ticket $20 which includes three tastings from the Museum Wine List
Pick a Platter (cheese plate) from $10-$70 depending on selection
Museum Wines by the glass from $15-$50
For 18 years and over
