Nocturnal: featuring NO ZU / Mildlife / Opalakia

Concert or Performance Festivals and Celebrations

1 Dec 2017

Nocturnal heats things up for the first day of summertime with a musical spectacular guaranteed to get you dancing, featuring: NO ZU, Mildlife and Opalakia.

Book now for $25 early bird tickets.

NO ZU are an eight-piece, body-music extravaganza dug up from deep within the Melbourne underground dance world. Otherworldly group vocals, wild horns, housey synths, deep groove basslines and Latin percussion are the ingredients that make up their acclaimed and art-damaged sound.

Mildlife take the musical canvas, rip the lids off the paint tins, and throw vibrant slashes of colour into kaleidoscopic jams. Old friends, the four-piece bonded over the desire to push musical boundaries, developing tight live shows bolstered by wild improvisation and a debut record that mines jazz, psych and disco for its irresistible groove.

Opalakia, also known as Adriana, is the host of world music program Opalakia on PBS 106.7FM. Adriana plays both traditional and contemporary sounds from different planes of the world.
