South Asian New Year Celebration

Benalla Migrant Association Inc presents the South Asian New Year Celebration. Free entry and everyone welcome!

There are various traditions and rituals are observed in celebrating the festivals in Asia, common celebrations are based on the ancient solar calendar and rice harvesting season.

So they are bringing bright colours, games, music, food, culture and beautiful dances to Benalla Lake Foreshore with the South Asian New Year Celebration and invite everyone to join in.

3:00pm to 5:00pm Traditional Games. 5:00pm to 7:00pm Dances and performances. 7:00pm to 10:00pm DJ music. There will also be food trucks and entertainment for the kids.
