The River Folk Festival

Festivals and Celebrations

15 Mar 2019 to 17 Mar 2019

The beautiful Yarra Valley will host the second River Folk Festival in 2019, located in the hidden gem of Warburton.

The highly-anticipated line-up of stellar international, national and local folk musicians will colour the Yarra Valley with world-class music from 15 to 17 March.

Featuring the exquisite Red Tail Ring (USA), longtime Folk Festival troubadour favourite, Scott Cook (Canada), Dana Sipos, Melbourne’s balkan gypsy heavyweights Hello Tut Tut, The Seduceaphones and Bourke Street legends Malcura and Santa Taranta.

The River Folk Festival has programmed an array of legendary, quirky, wild, raucous and soulful local acts including: The Anecdote, The Bean Project, Lily and King, Kristian Mizzi, Spiritus, Phoebe like the Moon, Tinman, Lucy Pierce, Hannah Schmidi, Orpheus in the Underworld and Cath Connelly on Celtic Harp.

Festival highlights include: Sisters of Song – a women-only showcase celebrating the talent of local, national and international female musicians; a Youth Mentoring Program for aspiring local young musicians and a dedicated Children’s Space hosted by Woody’s World for Children.
