Wangaratta Community nature day is a day that showcases all that is great about nature.
The community is welcome to come celebrate and get involved in nature and sustainability activities and the amazing Bpangerang indigenous hertiage.
The day includes: live music, historic and spiritual story telling by respected elder Uncle Freddie plus the Bpangerang dancers performing traditional dance, official release of the Bpangerang people pamphlet for all, native plant displays and nature-based art activities for children.
Discover the microscopic world of the Ovens River, learn about native bees and other amazing insects, learn about Wangaratta’s exciting new landcare and sustainability organization and how you can get involved, learn about environmental activities at Kaluna and Mullinmur Reserves, European wasp and Queensland fruit-fly control information, climate change information, including youth discussion, games, displays and give-aways and free barbecue.
At Apex Park from 11am – 1:30pm.
