War on Western Port: The Politics of Conversation

Community Event

21 Mar 2019

A panel conversation with artist Siri Hayes and environmental activists Rob Hayes and Rohan Cuming, moderated by MPRG Director Jane Alexander.

Western Port is one of the world’s most important wetlands and has outstanding marine and coastal environmental values. The peninsula’s first environmental lobby group was founded in 1971 to oppose further industrialisation of Western Port. Today the battle continues. The panel, consisting of an artist and two environmental activists, discuss the conservation issues surrounding Western Port.
