‘Wild Encounters’ – A photographic exhibition showcasing Australia’s amazing wildlife
Featuring imagery of wildlife from every corner of the Australian continent and vast areas in between, ‘Wild Encounters’ provides an opportunity for people to view the astounding diversity and beauty of our unique and iconic native wildlife through the work of local award-winning photographer, author and ecologist, Chris Tzaros.
Every photograph in the exhibition has been taken in the wild, many from remote locations and others from areas closer to home, including north-east Victoria where Chris is based. All photos have been painstakingly captured in superb clarity and detail, ranging from close-up portraits to those that capture rarely seen aspects of animal behaviour. This is a rare opportunity for people to admire and connect with the natural world through the power of photography.
Each photograph on display is accompanied by a short story providing background and context to each species and the moment in which the image was captured. By raising awareness of our amazing native animals, people will develop a greater interest and appreciation for nature and wildlife conservation at a time when they need it most. All photographs on display are available for sale. The exhibition concludes in April (after Easter).
