The Yarraville Festival is a highly anticipated event that showcases the community’s strengths and talents. This iconic festival embraces the cultural diversity, industrious nature and artistic air of the West attracting people from all over Melbourne to join in its engaging environment.
The ‘Community Stage’ showcases a wide range of community clubs and spirit, from dance moves to dog shows, choirs to karate. The ‘Main Stage’ hosts over 15 acts from all around the West.
In addition, there will be an amusement park zone, where kids and adults can go on a variety of exciting rides. As well as featuring a Kid’s Kingdom area that houses a petting zoo, Alejandro the Mexican Music Man, and book reading from the Younger Sun Bookshop staff. All of this is free to the public.
The little Village has also been growing these last few years, so even more of the neighbourhood traders can be welcomed to exhibit their wares, supporting local artists, designers and workers, as well as local non-for-profit community groups. The Yarraville Festival also showcases a huge range of local and visiting food trucks and stalls, making it a desirable food destination in Melbourne’s vibrant and enthusiastic food scene.
The Yarraville Festival is an all-inclusive event, not limited by age, income, or ethnicity groups. It’s a festival for the community, by the community.
