Lyons Will Estate

Exactly one hour north of Melbourne, Lyons Will Estate is a cool climate winery located in the Macedon Ranges. Established in 1996, Lyons Will Estate’s first plantings were Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Since then the estate has grown in size to include Gamay and Riesling, making the total area under vine just under five hectares. Lyons Will’s hallmark is its hands on, family owned approach, all vines are hand pruned, hand groomed and hand-picked, ensuring the best quality possible from bud-burst to the final bottle. Being a family owned winery, you can chat first-hand with one of the winemakers while they take you through a selection of their wine.

For three years running Lyons Will has been honoured by Gourmet Traveller Wine’s Best Cellar Door Awards. In 2020 they were named the Macedon Range’s Best Small Cellar Door, in 2021 Star Cellar Door, and now in 2022 they’re thrilled and humbled to be recognised as having the Best Tasting Experience.

The Lyons Will cellar door is open every weekend, and at other times by appointment. Wine tastings are held inside the winery, located in the heart of the vineyards. Charcuterie and cheese platters are available to accompany wine by the glass, in an intimate courtyard surrounded by pinot noir vines. Walk-ins are welcome but due to limited seating it is recommended to call in advance.
