Central Goldfields Visitor Information Centre offers a full range of guides, maps and brochures for Maryborough and surrounding areas and Victoria.

The friendly staff can assist you with finding a full range of souvenirs, postcards and locally made craft items all at very reasonable prices.

You’ll find accommodation and dining guides, self-guided tour brochures, local Parks and Wildlife Information and maps. They also have books and publications on the history of Maryborough and villages within the shire.

Guided tours of Maryborough can be booked on request, including walking tours and a “hop-on-bus” guide for groups.

See the life-size model of the Welcome Stranger gold nugget (69 kilograms). Inquiries for local prospecting maps and assistance to purchase miners rights on the internet are welcome. The Visitor Centre offers a photocopying service.

The Central Goldfields Visitor Information Centre is located in the historic Maryborough Railway Station. A working train station, a café and local museum are also on site, as well as clean toilets and disabled facilities.
