Barn Hives

Barn Hives are self-sustainable, eco-luxury pods. Create more, consume less. Guided by respect for the natural world, the pods are designed to connect to the outdoors.

The name of the Barn Hives (Eco Pods) comes from Barnyard Bees farm – the bee’s hives are spread around the property.

The shape of the pods provides a wonderful view of the vineyard surroundings and sunset skies, giving guests an even closer experience of living in proximity to nature. Each pod consists of a two-story open-plan living space with the master upstairs, kitchen, dining area, lounge, bathroom/toilet and outside space with a private deck on the ground floor. There is a maximum of two people per pod.

Special attention has been paid to sunlight and cross-ventilation to achieve comfort without the use of harsh mechanical implements. Water is collected from rainfall and heated by solar panels making it self-sustainable. With a pallet fire heater during the chilly winter days and fans for summer.

Situated within the incredible Smith’s white sand beach situated only a few minutes away while central to all amenities Margaret River is offering.

Barn Hives was designed for adults, whether they be couples, friends, siblings, mother and daughter or just travelling solo, so it’s rare to bump into a guest who is under 18. Their team is always happy to discuss any exceptions.
