Kooljaman at Cape Leveque is located 220 kilometres north of Broome on the Dampier Peninsula situated on a beautiful part of the coastline. It’s a remote paradise offering a quiet place to get away from it all.
Kooljaman offers accommodation and activities suiting a wide range of budgets. Choose from safari tents with panoramic ocean views, charming cabins, budget units and their popular palm fronded beach shelters. In the campground, there are shady sites or sites with views over Western beach.
Raugi’s restaurant offers spectacular views of the Pindan Cliffs lighting up as the sun goes down and the whales passing by through the day (when in season). Enjoy dine in in or takeaway meals all year round. Or, why not try ready to-cook gourmet barbecue dinners known as “Bush Butler Meals”. There is also a small general store which sells basic items throughout the season.
Scenic flights over the Buccaneer Archipelago, Horizontal Falls Tour or Boat Tours on Oolard II are great ways to see this spectacular area and leave regularly from Kooljaman.
Enjoy tranquil beaches, try your luck fishing, go snorkelling off the reef, join local Aboriginal guides on an indigenous cultural tour or simply relax and enjoy their remote wilderness camp.
