The Swan Valley Oasis Resort, a family business offering outstanding hospitality to all their guests. Established in 1992, the Swan Valley Oasis Resort has evolved into a lush oasis of green lawns, majestic palm trees and beautiful gardens.
The Hanssen family still own and operate the accommodation, restaurant and function centre. Mash Brewing, Supa Golf and Laser Corps were recently added which operate as separate businesses on the original 38-acre property, as well as the adjoining 10-acre property purchased in 2010 which houses the chalets at the Oasis Retreat and Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery.
The property backs onto the Swan River and was part of the first land grant in Western Australia, including Henley Park, the small watercourse and Henley Brook which flows into the Swan River. WH Mackie and Captain Frederick Irwin purchased the land which entitled them to The Old Henley Park homestead which was destroyed but the housekeeper’s cottage survived and now houses the Reception area.
In 1972 the suburb of Henley Brook was created which was previously part of Upper Swan. The property was purchased by the Hanssen family in 1989. The vision is still unfolding with plans for a new 5-star resort at the Oasis Retreat.
