In collaboration with their tour partners, Air Kimberley offers a diverse and unique choice of tour itineraries which include air, land and sea safari tours with authentic on country experiences visiting many destinations.

Departing Broome, fly over King Sound – home to Australia’s largest tides and amongst the highest in the world. You’ll see the Horizontal Waterfalls from above. Marvel at the beautiful view of the Buccaneer Archipelago, home to 1,000 incredible islands made up of Precambrian sandstone over 2 billion years old. Enjoy the views from above Koolan Island and Cockatoo Island, home to the world’s richest iron ore deposits.

Landing at the Ardyaloon (One Arm Point) community, enjoy a refreshing swim at the beautiful Jologo Beach. Visit the Ardyaloon Trochus Hatchery and Aquaculture Centre for lunch and a guided tour with an experienced local guide. Enjoy a fascinating and educational tour of the Hatchery which contains a diverse range of fish, coral, and crustacean species whilst learning about the Bardi-Jawi people’s strong connection to their saltwater traditions and getting up close and personal with some of the fish and coral species most prevalent in the area.

Coastal return flight overhead the stunning red cliffs at Cape Leveque, then southbound along the beautiful bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula with views of Beagle Bay, James Price Point, Willie Creek Pearl Farm and Broome’s world-famous Cable Beach.

Departing Broome, fly direct to the Horizontal Waterfalls. Marvel at the beautiful view of the Buccaneer Archipelago – home to 1,000 incredible islands made up of Precambrian sandstone over 2 billion years old.

Enjoy a fascinating and educational tour of the Ardyaloon Trochus Hatchery and Aquaculture Centre which contains a diverse range of fish, coral, and crustacean species whilst learning about the Bardi-Jawi people’s strong connection to their saltwater traditions and get up close and personal with some of the fish and coral species most prevalent in the area.

Take a short flight across to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, where you will enjoy a Pearl Farm Appreciation Tour and an in-depth pearl appreciation session that will leave you feeling like a pearl expert. After lunch, enjoy a quick swim in the on-site swimming pool before heading off on a sea safari boat tour to explore the “giant tides”. Feel the power of the world’s largest tropical tides as you cruise amongst the giant whirlpools and standing tidal waves.

The coastal flight back home is via the Dampier Peninsula, Beagle Bay, James Price Point, Willie Creek and Broome’s world-famous Cable Beach as you track the coast back to Broome.

Fly over the spectacular Pindan Cliffs and turquoise waters of Roebuck Bay as you track over the vast mangroves and wetlands of Roebuck Plains. Flying over the Fitzroy River, you will approach the Napier Range, mostly made from heavily eroded limestone or karst with the ridges composed of an ancient Devonian reef system.

As you approach Windjana Gorge, enjoy a scenic flight from above before landing at the remote Windjana airstrip. On arrival, meet your guide for the day and jump onboard your air-conditioned four wheel drive bus. Enjoy a walking tour through Windjana Gorge and learn about the spiritual significance of the gorge and closely observe freshwater crocodiles in their natural habitat.

After lunch served beneath the shady bloodwood trees, explore the 750 metre long Tunnel Creek that runs beneath the 350 million year old Devonian Reef system. Whilst in the tunnel, you will negotiate pools of water (up to knee-deep) – flashlights will be provided.

You will learn about the Banuba people and hear the story of Jandamarra the Aboriginal Warrior who hid out in the tunnel and led the Banuba resistance against the oppression of the local Aboriginal people during the late 1800’s.

Departing Broome, we track North across King Sound, home to Australia’s largest tides, fly over Walcott Inlet, the rarely seen Harding Range, and the Prince Regent River before landing at Mitchell Plateau airstrip. On arrival, you will be met by your tour guide from Kingfisher Tours. After a quick morning tea and refreshments, experience driving along with one of the most remote Kimberley tracks in your comfortably air-conditioned 4WD through the vast ancient Livistona Palm forest to the Mertens campground (Ranger Base) and the start of the 4.5km Punamii-unpuu Hiking Trail. Then, guided by your Tour guide, enjoy a 4 kilometre cultural walk travelling past majestic waterfalls, spell-binding gorges, Aboriginal rock art and sites of cultural significance to the Wunambal people with swimming opportunities up the Mitchell Falls for lunch and a helicopter scenic transfer.

On the homeward flight, we track the coastline past Kuri Bay, home to the Paspaley Pearl Farm and the beautiful Montgomery Reef. Fly over Horizontal Waterfalls described by David Attenborough as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Coastal return flight along the bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula. Morning Tea, Lunch & refreshments provided.

Departing Broome track east over the beautiful turquoise waters of Roebuck Bay. Overfly the mighty Fitzroy River, the Fitzroy Crossing township and the stunning Geikie Gorge.

Fly the scenic pattern around the Bungle Bungle Massif marvelling at the spectacular domes from above. Sweeping across the Bungle Bungle range, a hidden world of gorges and pools is revealed with fan palms clinging precariously to walls and crevices in the rocks.

On arrival at the remote Bellburn airstrip you will be met by your tour guide from Kingfisher Tours. You will then embark on your Bungle Bungle adventure to the southern Dome walk in an air-conditioned 4WD with stops along the way for spectacular photo opportunities.

Enjoy a moderate 3km guided walk amongst the famous eroded towers and black and orange banded beehive structures on the dome walk and into Cathedral Gorge. Follow a meandering creek bed amongst the towering beehive domes and honeycomb rocks to the iconic natural amphitheatre, known as Cathedral Gorge. The Gorge is known for its outstanding acoustics and sheer beauty.

On your return flight to Broome, fly over the spectacular Wunaamin-Milliwundi Ranges, Devonian Reef Conservation Park and Windjana Gorge.
