Departing from Fremantle, your trip to Rottnest Island – or “Rotto” – will take about an hour, then depending on the day, you can head to the Thompson Bay near the Army Barracks and drop the anchor, or you can cruise further west and head over to Parakeet Bay.
Once Apache Charters drops the anchor, you can spend as much time as you like. They can use the tender (small boat) and take you to shore so you can play cricket with your mates, or a romantic stroll along the beach. Most of the times, the beaches at Parakeet Bay are pretty empty, so it could be your private beach for the day.
Why not just hang out on the beautiful Lady Grace, having a few drinks, or cool off and go for a swim; the large swim platform with ladder on the back of the boat is the perfect spot to dip your toes in. They even supply a 10-seater inflatable donut and a few sets of complimentary snorkelling equipment. The crew will happily cook the barbecue for you and make sure that the esky is topped up.
