Visit the postcard pretty town of Bridgetown and spend some time relaxing on the grassy expanses of Blackwood River Park, located south of the town. This pleasant parkland is the perfect place for a family picnic.

Situated on the banks of the Blackwood River, the park has river access, walk trails, barbecues, a playground and toilets. Fortnightly markets are held on alternate Sunday mornings.

The Blackwood River Park also has its place in local history as the site of the first police station which was built in 1862.

Bridgetown is a 3 hour drive south of Perth.
