Paddling a sea kayak is a fun and eco-friendly way to explore Penguin Island and Seal Island. Get up close and personal with the sea lions, cruise past colonies of pelicans and take in the rugged beauty of the islands.
You’ll get the opportunity to meet the little penguins in the Penguin Island Discovery Centre. In between activities, enjoy morning tea and lunch freshly prepared by your guide. Get up close and personal with nature and all just a short drive from Perth.

Spend a day sea kayaking through the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park and get up close and personal with Australian wildlife in and out of the water. Take a guided walk to explore Penguin Island and in the warmer summer months, enjoy snorkelling among the limestone reef full of marine life. It’s a fun-filled day out for those of all ages.
Penguin and Seal Island are part of Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, which is approximately 45 minutes south of Perth city or five minutes south of Rockingham. Sea kayaking is a fantastic way to explore these rugged limestone islands (approximately one kilometre offshore) and their unique wildlife includes Australia Sea Lions, Little Blue Penguins, colonies of Pelicans and thousands of other sea birds that use these islands as safe nesting places. They also offer snorkelling during the warm summer months as a way of exploring these shallow waters, limestone reefs and fish life.
This tour includes double sea kayaks, paddles, life jackets, long sleeve sun shirts, hats, dry bags (for valuables), snorkelling gear (during warmer summer months), entry fee into Penguin Discovery Centre, qualified guide, morning tea, lunch, transport to and from Rockingham Train Station, wildlife and a great time!
