Capture the Light Photographic Tours

Adventure and Outdoors Tours

Capture the Light Photographic Tours is a West Australian based company with many years of experience in running small group photographic tours to a variety of destinations throughout the state. Their tours are designed for photographers, by photographers who understand the need to take time at each location to get that Shot. The tours range from half a day to up to two weeks long to some of Western Australia’s lesser-known and more iconic destinations. Destinations include Rottnest Island (we are the only photography tour company that holds the concession to operate here), Wave Rock, Pinnacles and Wellington National Park. They also run wildflower tours in the region during Winter and Spring.

Each tour is led by formally trained professional fine art photographer, Anna-Mair Francis who is a highly regarded photographer having sold images to clients in many different countries. She is a highly acclaimed teacher having helped hundreds of clients improve their photography and develop a better understanding of their cameras.

All tours are inclusive of photographic input, fees, entry fees, most meals and accommodation (please see website for more information). All levels of photographer and makes of camera are welcomed.

Capture the Light Photographic Tours provides tours with a personal touch that will ensure your trip is an experience you will never forget with photos that you will treasure for a lifetime.

The Total Solar Eclipse is one of the premier events in W.A in 2023. Our tour is accommodated in Shark Bay but we have chartered a plane to take us to Exmouth Aerodrome to observe and photograph the eclipse from within the 100% total darkness zone away from most of the other public viewing areas. After the eclipse we will fly back to Shark Bay to continue an exciting itinerary of photographic opportunities.
Shark Bay is a World Heritage Site known for it’s rugged landscape, birds and wildlife including the famous dolphin’s of Monkey Mia. We will include a 4×4 tour to the Francois Peron National Park, a scenic flight over Shark Bay with the doors off the plane for uninterrupted views for photography and a marine life cruise in waters which are home to turtles, dugongs and dolphins. We will be able to photograph the Milky Way as we are in a dark sky area (weather permitting).
