The Cathedral of Holy Cross in Geraldton is renowned for having one of the largest areas of stained glass windows in Australia. The 1960s cathedral is known as the “Coventry of Australia” due to its unusual design and resemblance to Coventry Cathedral in England. Visit other magnificent churches in Geraldton including the well known Francis Xavier Cathedral. Continue up Cathedral Avenue to see The Hermitage, a charming 1800s house designed by the prominent architect and priest Monsignor John Hawes.
