After exploring the local sights of Kalgoorlie-Boulder from the air, inclusive of an intimate flyover of our spectacular Kalgoorlie Super Pit, the flight will head south passing the Nickel Smelter and continuing towards Kambalda to experience one of the largest Salt Lakes in the world, Lake Lefroy. Soaring over the Great Western Woodlands and exploring our rich mining industry in operation, there is no better way to travel.

Lake Lefroy and Kambalda are home to many local industry groups, and you will gain insight into how remote and resourceful these operations can really be. This Salt Lake is the heart of Kambalda, and its open pit operations are a contrast not to be missed.

Spread out across the salt lakes of the Northern Goldfields are the world-famous Anthony Gormley Statues at Lake Ballard. Inspired by the isolating landscape surrounding the lake, it is a must-see for the art lovers and outdoorsy adventurers.

Short on time, but desperate to experience Anthony Gormley’s world-famous statues on Lake Ballard? Take to the sky and soar over this stunning outback landscape.

Your flight path will first explore the Kalgoorlie-Boulder townsite and its hidden gems, including the Super Pit. On the way to Lake Ballard, explore some of our region’s operational and abandoned townsites and mine workings including Kanowna and Ora Banda.
Your helicopter will also detour slightly to catch a glimpse of Rowles Lagoon – a freshwater wetland that is reserved for nature conservation in the Goldfields Region and is home to 41 species of water birds!

Geological wonders and abandoned rail history, there is no better way to experience this than by air. Through the rock formations and over the nature reserves, you will see the differing landscapes of this gold rush heritage land.

This adventure explores the rich history of the Goldfields Cart Track, Rail Lines and Telegraph Lines that were forged by hand in the 1800s. To explore this by road requires time and a fully equipped four wheel drive, with this flight you can tick it off the list in half a day!
