Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering expedition cruise company operating in the Kimberley for over 24 years. They have a two small purpose-built expedition ships accommodating 72 to 120 guests on-board. Travellers from all over the world come to enjoy their relaxed small ship atmosphere and itineraries to remote and unique locations which larger ships cannot replicate. Departures each year from April to September with 10-night itineraries visiting all of the ‘must do’ locations on the Kimberley coast. Early in the season you will experience majestic waterfalls and later in the season migrating Humpback Whales. Expedition highlights include – the tidal phenomenon of the Horizontal Waterfalls, King George River, Wandjina rock art, Montgomery Reef emerging from the sea and the chance to spot crocodiles, tawny nurse sharks, sea turtles and rock wallabies.
Their itineraries are full- inclusive of all excursions with knowledgeable and experienced Expedition Leaders and Guest Lecturers.

Perfected over 24 years, this 10-day voyage, departing Broome to Darwin or Darwin to Broome, takes you on a journey back in time.
Experience the unique Horizontal Falls, described by David Attenborough as “one of the greatest natural wonders of the world”. Zodiac right up close to mighty four-tier Mitchell Falls. Be awed by the mighty King George River and feel the spray of the 80-metre high falls as you explore by Zodiac.
Enjoy expert interpretation of Wandjina and Gwion Gwion Rock art, the world’s oldest known. Take in possible sightings of dugongs, sea turtles, humpback whales and and rock wallabies. From the Zodiac or Xplorer, see marine wildlife that might include sharks, turtles and rays at Montgomery Reef.
Take in an optional scenic flight to Mitchell Falls (additional cost). Explore Hathaway’s Hideaway and the maze of sandstone caves. Indulge in remote beach barbecue as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean.
Unique to Coral Expeditions, their hydraulic Xplorer Tender system allows all guests to get on and off the ship quickly and safely to experience the uniqueness of this stunning location.
