Fisherman’s Lookout offers a panoramic view of Port Denison and the harbour. Watch the magnificent ocean waves crashing on the reef below. Visit the obelisk built in the late 1800s to commemorate the sailors’ lives lost at sea. You may choose to take the Fisherman’s Memorial walk trail up to the lookout, which will take between 30 minutes and one hour, depending on your pace.
Take advantage of the beautiful beaches of Port Denison and neighbouring Dongara where surfing, fishing and swimming can be enjoyed. For the history buffs, the Dongara-Denison Heritage Trail is a must. Collect a trail brochure from the visitors centre housed in the Old Police Station in Dongara and explore a collection of historic buildings including the Royal Steam Flour Mill and Priory Lodge.
Port Denison is located four hours north of Perth. Whilst in Port Denison, enjoy a visit to the Live Lobster Facility at the marina which is also home to the state’s largest rock lobster fishing fleets.
